This page explains how users of the Driver NE mobile application (package name com.driverne.customer) can delete their account and associated personal data, as required by Google Play and applicable privacy laws.

Recommended — delete in the app

You can permanently delete your account directly inside the Driver NE app. No email required.

How to delete your account in the app

  1. Open the Driver NE app and sign in with your registered mobile number.
  2. Open the menu (☰) → tap My Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Account section → tap Delete account.
  4. Read the warning, then tap Continue.
  5. Type DELETE in the confirmation field.
  6. Tap Send OTP → enter the 4-digit code sent to your registered phone.
  7. Tap Delete account to permanently remove your account.

You will be signed out and your login access will end immediately. This action cannot be undone.

What data is deleted

When you delete your Driver NE customer account, we permanently remove or anonymise:

  • Your account profile (name, email, phone number, profile photo, SOS number)
  • Login credentials and authentication tokens
  • Stored OTP codes and session data
  • Pending bookings associated with your account (cancelled on deletion)

What data may be retained

Some information may be kept after account deletion where required by law or legitimate business needs:

  • Completed trip and payment records (may be retained in anonymised or de-identified form for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution)
  • Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. regulatory or court orders)

Retained records are not used for marketing and are protected with appropriate security measures.

Retention period

Personal data tied to your account is deleted promptly after successful in-app deletion. Anonymised or legally required transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years or as required by applicable Indian law, whichever is longer.

Cannot delete in the app?

If you cannot access the app (lost device, active trip, or technical issue), contact us to request account deletion. We will verify your identity using your registered mobile number before processing the request.

Include your registered phone number and state that you wish to delete your Driver NE customer account. We aim to process verified requests within 30 days.
